Congratulations to Laurel Hill Elementary!

I would like to extend my congratulations to the students, teachers, parents, and administration at Laurel Hill Elementary School. The Illinois Board of Education has recognized Laurel Hill as a Spotlight School and an Academic Improvement Award Winner. As Village President, I was happy to declare last week, Laurel Hill Week for the efforts of teachers, parents, and administrators in providing quality education for our young people. This is a real community effort of which we all should be proud.

AT&T Pioneer Shoes Project

Friends, what a great opportunity to meet the giving leaders of AT&T and to greet the Children of three schools in Hanover Park. Anne Fox Elementary, Laurel Hill Elementrary, and Parkwood Elementary all rode the bus and received new shoes and socks. What a surprise to see the many, many volunteers who came and assisted the young people as they tried on their new shoes. There were many more smiles in Hanover Park on this occasion.
