Diversity in Hanover Park

The January 7th editorial in the Daily Herald entitled "Reach Out and Embrace Diversity" highlights some of the challenges that we face here in Hanover Park. Reaching out to all of our citizens to communicate effectively to let them know about services offered by Townships, School Districts, Community Colleges, State Government, and regional groups can be extremely difficult. But, still, we must make the effort and work together to ensure that the quality of living for all of Hanover Park's residents is improving. As the Daily Herald noted,

"So maybe it's a good idea, then, for the village and the townships and the school districts and other governmental bodies to band together to make sure their constituents are getting services they need. And to figure out exactly what services should be offered...The issue of diversity -- and how to handle it -- isn't going away in Hanover Park or most any other suburb in the area."

It is up to us to work together to do all that we can to make our hometown a great place to live. Remember, the rising tide lifts all boats. It has been my initiative as your Mayor to continue to reach out to all of the people of Hanover Park using every opportunity for growth and pride available to us. Those opportunities may be nested within our sports, organizations, government bodies, schools, businesses, Churches, or the families of Hanover Park.
