Regional Leaders Step Forward to Support Mayor Craig

In an impressive show of bi-partisan support, key leaders of the Northwest Suburbs came together to show their support for Mayor Rodney Craig of Hanover Park. These leaders include:

  • Senator John Millner, (R), 28th District
  • Senator Carole Pankau. (R), 23rd District
  • Senator Michael Noland, (D), 22nd District
  • Representative Fred Crespo. (D), 44th District
  • Mayor Bill McLeod, Hoffman Estates
  • Mayor Frank Saverino, Carol Stream
  • Trustee Cary Collins, Hoffman Estates,
  • Al Prochaska, Northwest Suburban Teachers' Union
  • George Moser, CEO and Business Leader

Today, these leaders hosted a special reception to show their support for Mayor Craig.

"This type of support is the reason that Hanover Park Progress has formed around Mayor Craig's leadership," commented Rick Roberts, Progress Party Chair and Candidate for Village Trustee. "It is a rare individual who can reach out and bring so many people together. This show of support for Mayor Craig means a great deal for Hanover Park Progress."

Since being elected Village President, Rod Craig has emerged as a regional leader. He has worked to advocate for the residents of Hanover Park. He is a leader in the the Mayor's Caucus and the DuPage Mayors and Manager's Conference. He has become a leading voice for affordable, clean wind energy through the Wind Turbine Alliance. Mayor Craig has also brought together federal and state elected officials, police officials, clergy and educational leaders to discuss Crime Prevention within Hanover Park.

"This show of support means a great deal to me," noted Mayor Craig. "The support of these leaders shows that they care about the people of Hanover Park, and that they are willing to publicly take a stand for the goals that we've set forward in this campaign."

Most suburbs are in a single county and have one or two school districts, but Hanover Park is spread across two counties, four townships, seven school districts, three park districts, two library districts, and three college districts. This is why it is important to have a leader, like Rod Craig, who can reach out and bring people together.
