Schaumburg Township Assessor’s Office
For Immediate Release: April 23, 2009
On Tuesday, May 19th, 2009, Schaumburg Township Assessor John Lawson, Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Brendan Houlihan, Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider, and State Senator John Millner will be holding a joint seminar on how to appeal your property assessment, should you believe you are over assessed in Schaumburg Township.
The seminar will begin at 6:30 pm. Attendees are asked to bring their tax bill in order to more effectively file an appeal should they feel their residence was wrongly assessed. There will be a short presentation by Assessor Lawson. Staff from the Board of Review will be on hand to answer questions, and help fill out complaint forms.
The presentation will explain how to file an appeal, and how an appeal is granted. The outreach will be held at the Schaumburg Township Office, 1 Illinois Boulevard,
Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
