POLICE RECORDS CLERK: POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Village of Hanover Park has an immediate opening for a full-time Records Clerk to perform a variety of clerical and receptionist duties in the Police Department including: maintaining police files and record keeping systems, serving as a receptionist to answer questions from the general public, answering phone calls of mostly a non-emergency nature, and performing data entry and general typing duties. Requires work on weekends, holidays, and all three shifts.
The current opening is on the midnight shift (Midnight to 8:00 a.m.). Employees bid for shift preferences annually; however, shift preferences are not guaranteed. The other two shifts are: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to Midnight.
REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent education; two years experience in general office work, and light typing. Customer service and data entry experience highly desirable. Spanish/English fluency a plus.
COMPENSATION:
The minimum starting rate for this position is $15.76 an hour. The actual starting pay rate will be based on experience and qualifications. Wage increases are based in part on demonstrated performance and ability to meet established goals and objectives. The Village offers an excellent benefit package.
