Domestic Violence Month vigil in Hanover Park

I am happy to be a part of the upcoming vigil to promote awareness of domestic violence. The following article was on the Daily Herald Web site.

Domestic Violence Month vigil in Hanover Park

A memorial candlelight vigil marking Domestic Violence Awareness Month will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Hanover Park's village hall, 2121 W. Lake St.

Speakers include Mayor Rod Craig, state Sen. Mike Noland, state Rep. Fred Crespo and Hanover Park Trustee Toni Carter, who's a survivor of domestic violence.

The program, put on by Wings, the Northwest Suburban Alliance on Domestic Violence and the Elgin Community Crisis Center, will highlight agencies that help victims of abuse.
