Today, our nation takes a day to recognize the leadership and inspiration provided to us by Martin Luther King, Jr. The character of our people is one of the lessons I have personally learned having grown up in the decade of the 60’s. We not only honor a Leader, we honor the ongoing diversity in our own community.
Hanover Park is rich in its diversity, and we work doubly hard to understand our differences and how those differences can contribute to the overall good within our Village. So today, we pause and count our blessings as we work together to establish a community based on our mutual dedication to family, education, religious freedom, and hard work. We are one in Hanover Park,
and, as one, we will aspire to assure our quality of life and respect those values that contribute to the well being of all.
We are working to live the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King.
